Al Nahl aims to combine elements of food production on the whole value chain with elements of waste management, collection, recycling, and disposal and elements of sustainable energy production. Those elements are called combs like in a bee hive and it’s like a series of bee hives that we want Al Nahl to function.

Al Nahl is specifically aimed at dry and desert countries and regions as water production and management and poor soils are massive issues there. Those issues require methods that are completely unnecessary in the black soil belt of the world.

There are several initiatives that bring agriculture to the desert but they are mostly standalone and designed to export cash crops. Al Nahl will be designed for local sustainability, providing what local populations need and taking care of its trash. In terms of energy, it aims to be at least self-sufficient. Exports of any product are secondary but if possible desired.

Al Nahl aims at arranging combs (the elements) logically to eliminate wasteful transport as much as economically feasible.
